This locally owned tap room is a refuge for the city’s craft beer lovers. Open late, their location on Fort Street between Blanshard and Quadra is a boon to the neighbourhood. Offering a cozy atmosphere with indoor and a limited amount of outdoor seating, Refuge owner Darren Ainsley has 30+ taps, highlighting craft beer from Vancouver Island and BC, with extra taps for cider and wine.

Swans Hotel
Located in downtown Victoria BC, at the base of Chinatown, the Swans Hotel building was built in 1913. At that time, the area was a hotbed of secret societies, underground activity, and a liquor distillery. Today, while shaped by our colourful history, our neighbourhood is welcoming for tourists from near and far.
