This year’s Farm Fresh Hop IPA combines the massive flavours & aromas of our Cascade and Chinook hops, combined with both grains and yeast all sourced right here on the farm! Over the past year we have been working with a yeast strain we isolated and propagated from our Chinook cones, lovingly named ‘Hoppy Cone Surfer’. This yeast has been the driving force in fermenting our Hop Yard Sour (along with our sourdough bacterial culture), and following a year of successful production we decided to give it the spotlight! The result? A truly unique, 100% Barnside Fresh Hop, highlighting the best of what we grow, with over 500lbs of FRESH hops. And when we say FRESH, we mean it – we’re talking 20 minutes from field to kettle! You won’t find this beer anywhere else – it’s the true taste of Ladner terroir. Expect notes of Citrus, Pine, Wildflowers, Tropical & Stone fruits, and spice, all atop our Pilsner and Oats.

West Coast Style Fresh Hopped IPA - Capturing the peak of the hop harvest, Centennial hops grown at Bredenhof Hops in the Chilliwack Valley are picked at their prime and rushed to our brewery the very same day! Expect aromas of delicate citrus notes.

Highlights of fresh grapefruit hop flavour, with an undercurrent of dank earthy pine are complemented by a smooth clean bitterness and deep woods forest aromas all via Fresh Chinook.

Wet Hopped Blonde

For this very special, once-a-year version of Dageraad Blonde, centennial hops grown by the Sartori family in Chilliwack were added to the brew kettle the same day they were plucked from the bine. The hops add a fresh, juicy taste of local terroir to this classic Belgian-style ale.
